I grew up surrounded by antique silver and silver plate objects, and as a child was fascinated with engraving. My skills have always straddled craft and art, so while at the Camberwell College of Arts studying Silversmithing and Metalwork I decided to incorporate engraving into my work. During my four years at Camberwell I taught myself the craft, with good advice from my mentors Andy Bray, Ray Wilkins, and Beg (my father’s engraver). After leaving school I found a position at R.H Wilkins Engravers, where Emmet Smith honed my skills. I have now been there for eight years and am currently a Director.

My passions lie in all manner of engraving, but mainly seal engraving, heraldic work and inscriptions/typography.
